The Hillsiders were so great because they had two great lead vocalists in Kenny and then better still (in my opinion) in Kevin. They also featured two great steelies (Ronnie was a more pure player ,Dave more jazzy), Noddy was as solid as a rock and more than happy to let you hear the singers and instrumentalists (drummers take note!!).Joe was a great back up vocalist and a good spearhead for the group. Brian added the vital third harmony and in his day a really tasty guitarist (I thought the telecaster years were his best played through the Kustom amp).Always smart on stage and friendly off stage,I wish the lads could have achieved a bit more fame ,I spose the brit country music scene was always a limiting factor. I think maybe "driver get me home" or "she was my only one" were worthy of more success! Any more info or posts are anxiously awaited!
